THE TAKEOVER EVENTS
Due to our contractual obligations with the resort, events planned for THE TAKEOVER TRAVEL are exclusively for guests who have made their reservations directly with THE TAKEOVER TRAVEL. Day and/or party passes are not available for purchase. Guests who book directly with the resort or another third party will not be able to attend the events and activities organized by The TakeOver. (strictly enforced). Guests who violate this policy may be restricted from future events with The TakeOver.

The itinerary, activities, events and/or performers are subject to change without notice.
AIRPORT & TRANSPORTATION
IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS
See the Embassy of Costa Rica’s website for the most current visa information.
Tourist stays up to 180 Days: Authorities may permit stays up to 180 days without a visa but are not required to do so. Be sure to leave by your required date of departure. Immigration authorities may levy a fine on foreigners who overstay their visas.
Exit tax: Check with your airline to see if the $29 USD exit tax was included in the cost of your ticket. For more information, visit the Costa Rican Immigration Agency website.
PAYMENTS
INITIAL DEPOSIT – $450.00 (prior to November 15, 2024)
A deposit is due at the time of reservation. All deposits are non-refundable
and non-transferable. All reservations (except where specified) will require a deposit. The deposit amount due will be determined by the payment schedule dates listed below. All reservations may be paid in full at the time of booking.
PAYMENT SCHEDULE - Please adhere to the following payment schedule in order to keep your account current and avoid late fees and/or cancellation:
September 18, 2024 - 25% of the total balance due
November 15, 2024 - 50% of the total balance due
January 10, 2025 - 70% of the total balance due
March 13, 2025 - 90% of the total balance due
May 18, 2025 - 100% of the total balance due
Past due payments will be subject to late fees and/or reservation cancellations. Payments that are ten (10) calendar days past due will incur the following late payment penalties:
Accounts that are 30 days past due may result in a cancellation & forfeiture of reservation. All Payments are non-refundable/non-transferable.
The Reservations are per room and not individual. In the event that guests are submitting payment individually, please ensure all guest payments are timely in order to prevent the room reservation from becoming delinquent. All guests listed on the reservation (per room) will be emailed in the event of a severely delinquent roommate over thirty (30) days.
Once your deposit has been received, your reservation will be finalized. Please do not book any flights until your reservation is confirmed and finalized with The TakeOver Team. PLEASE NOTE: If you are booking pre & post dates, your reservation will be finalized after we have received your initial deposit AND the resort has confirmed the availability of the requested dates. Should the dates requested on your initial reservation outside of the main dates not be available, you will have the option of selecting a room at the Family resort (if available) OR reducing the days of your stay to the dates of the actual event which is June 18-22, 2025.
UPLIFT - BOOK NOW...PAY OVER TIME! The TakeOver has partnered with Uplift in order to provide flexible payment options (up to 24 months). If Uplift is utilized to purchase your trip, your reservation (or your portion of the reservation) will be paid in full by Uplift.
If you have opted to utilize UpLift, a representative will contact you within two (2) business days to complete this process and finalize your reservation.
CREDIT CARD PROCESSING
A credit card processing fee will be added to all reservations. Guests are more than welcome to receive a 3% credit by either mailing a check or submitting your payment via ZELLE. All checks can be mailed to The TakeOver Travel P.O. Box 1001 Simpsonville, SC 29681. Please note the payment schedule deadlines when mailing a check. The Zelle Account email is: info@TheTakeOverTravel.com.
Should you find an error on any credit card charge, the TakeOver Travel will be more than happy to research and resolve the matter. Please send an email to info@TheTakeOverTravel to report the error. Filing chargebacks could result in your reservation being canceled and may prevent future travel.
CANCELLATION POLICY
All payments are final and non-refundable. Travel insurance is strongly recommended to receive reimbursements for any travel related interruptions and/or delays.
Reinstatement of Reservations: Should your travel reservations be canceled (either by yourself or due to nonpayment), you may reinstate your reservation by notifying us in writing within seven (7) calendar days of the date of the cancelation. A reinstatement fee of $200.00 USD will be added to your invoice and must be paid in advance in order to reinstate your reservation. No changes are allowed on reinstated reservations.
TRAVEL DISCLOSURES
All passengers must review, initial & sign a guest Travel Disclosure before travel. This disclosure is important as it reiterates The TakeOver Travel’s Terms & Conditions. The TakeOver Travel reserves the right to cancel bookings without a completed travel disclosure.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Additional Nights: Adding additional room nights are based on resort availability. Upon receiving your request, we will confirm availability with the resort. The additional nights include the all-inclusive benefits of the resort. Any activities scheduled during the pre/post dates will be optional and an additional expense. The rates quoted for the additional nights are valid 6/15/2025-6/25/2025. Any nights outside of those dates will be priced at current market rates, taxes and fees set by the resort.
CHANGES & REVISION
Please make sure the names (excluding the middle name) listed on your reservation matches what is listed on your travel documents. Once a reservation has been made, guests have thirty (30) calendar days from the date of reservation to update and/or correct any information submitted without a penalty. Any changes afterwards will be assessed a change fee of $75.00 USD.
All reservations made after April 1, 2025, a change fee of $75.00 will have three (3) calendar days to correct/update the reservation without penalty. Any changes afterwards will be assessed a change fee of $75.00 USD.
COVID PROTOCOL – In the event the trip must be postponed due to travel restrictions, all payments will be applied to the rescheduled future date.
